It's part biography (and I'm not an expert, but I'm guessing that some of the diary extracts are truly attributed to Lincoln, as are the speeches) but they've been tampered with to fit with Graham-Smith's creation of a character of Lincoln as the legendary vampire hunter of his age, part (obviously) fiction.
